ABOUT MEN’S HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, a time to focus on the importance of early detection, regular self-exams, and open conversations about men’s health. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men ages 15-44, but it is highly treatable when caught early.

Encourage the men in your life to:

  • Learn the facts about testicular cancer.

  • Perform a monthly self-exam.

  • Talk openly about men’s health.

THE REALITY OF TESTICULAR CANCER

  • Testicular cancer is the leading cancer in men 15-44, but it can strike at any age.

  • It is projected that around 600 deaths will occur from testicular cancer in the United States in 2025.

  • Tender and/or enlarged breasts are possible signs of testicular cancer.

  • Every hour a male is diagnosed with testicular cancer in the US alone.

  • About 1 in 250 men will develop testicular cancer at some point in their lifetime.

  • Testicular cancer is on the rise in the United States and other Countries.

  • Signs of testicular cancer can include a dull ache in the abdomen, back or groin.

  • An undescended testicle is one of the risk factors of testicular cancer.
