Josh Cooper's Go Nuts for No Shave November Campaign
In November of 2016, myself and a representative with the Emerald Coast Beard and Mustache Alliance (ECBMA) put on a few events to raise money for TCAF, and the "Go Nuts for No Shave November" campaign. We worked with a local barbershop to raise money at a "shave it or save it" event, in which 10 men put their beards up to do whichever had more money donated towards it. This event raised roughly $2,000, with money and art donated to the cause. We also did a "Grab life by the balls" benefit show at a local venue, with 5 bands playing. The benefit was to raise money, and of course, awareness. The bands ranged in genre, and all played for free to support our mission. About 15 businesses donated goods or services to raffle off, and during the show, we raffled off everything from free tattoos to free rounds of golf. All in all, $4,740 was raised.
